Larder beetle control
If you see dark beetles with a light band indoors, it may be a larder beetle
Larder beetles are recognised by their dark body and a distinct light band across the back. If you see them indoors, there are usually already more present than you notice.
Many people only realise the problem once beetles start appearing in multiple areas.
Call Now Contact UsWhere the problem usually starts
In practice, this problem often begins from a hidden food source.
Larder beetles are attracted to protein-rich materials such as stored food, pet food or other organic matter. In many cases, the source has been present for some time before the first beetles are noticed.
Why the problem doesn’t go away with cleaning
Cleaning removes visible beetles, but not the infestation.
Larvae develop in hidden areas close to the source, which allows new beetles to continue appearing even after cleaning. This is the most common reason the problem returns.
When control is needed
If beetles appear repeatedly or in different areas, the issue is no longer isolated.
Especially when they return after cleaning, the infestation has usually already developed further than it first seems.
How the control process works
The process always starts by locating the source of the infestation.
The source is removed and affected areas are treated. At the same time, steps are taken to prevent the infestation from continuing.
